Equipolymers Completes Re-vamping of Ottana PET Train

Horgen, SWITZERLAND - November 15, 2007 – Equipolymers has completed the construction of a state-of-the-art polycondensation line for the production and manufacture of PET (polyethylene terephthalate) at its production centre in Ottana, Italy. The new production facility started production on 1st November 2007.

Incorporating the most advanced ZIMMER Technology in the melt phase polycondensation, the train operates in complete synergy with the existing BUEHLER solid state polycondensation plant, ensuring a seamless production process and consistent output quality.

With the start of the new PET plant, Ottana’s PET production capacity increases to 150,000 metric tonnes per year, contributing to a total capacity of 485,000 metric tons per year, making Equipolymers a European market leader.
