Equipolymers Announces Price Increase for Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET)
Horgen, SWITZERLAND - March 9, 2007 – Equipolymers have announced a price increase of
Euro 80 per metric tonne for PET resins for the European market, effective April 1, 2007.
This increase by Equipolymers and its subsidiaries is necessary to cover raw material cost increases
and to restore margins. The increase of 80 Euros per metric tonne in Europe is for all LIGHTER™ PET Resins.
This price increase is effective on all deliveries from April 1st 2007.
PET demand is strong ahead of the Spring and Summer higher usage period.

a high quality plastic for use in the packaging industry and in particular for the production of beverage, food
and other liquid containers. PTA is a key raw material for the production of PET.

Ottana, Italy, and two PET plants in Schkopau, Germany for a total capacity of approximately 485,000 metric
tonnes once the Ottana upgrade is complete.
