Werner Baur Chief Financial Officer

Werner Baur is the chief financial officer for Equipolymers, located at the company headquarters in
Dubai. Equipolymers is a 50:50 joint venture between The Dow Chemical Company (Dow) and
Petrochemical Industries Company (PIC) of Kuwait. Baur also serves as the chief financial officer for
MEGlobal International FZE, also located in Dubai.

Prior to joining MEGlobal and assuming the financial leadership for Equipolymers, Baur served as
director of Dow’s European pension fund after acting as the project leader for the integration of Gurit-
Essex into the Dow Automotive group in Europe. Baur joined Dow in 1974 as credit manager for Dow’s
operations in the Middle East and Africa and has held a number of other credit and treasury positions
within Dow Europe.

Baur is a Swiss citizen. He holds a Swiss Commercial Federal Diploma and is a graduate of the School
of Credit & Financial Management at Stanford University.
