Abdullah Al-Swailem Manufacturing Director

Abdullah Al-Swailem is the Manufacturing Director of Equipolymers BV, a joint venture between The Dow Chemical Company (Dow) and Petrochemical Industry Corporation (PIC), Kuwait. He is based in Horgen, Switzerland.

Abdullah has 27 years of process plant operation experience in Ammonia, Urea and Utilities (Fertilizer Plants) of Petrochemical Industries Company (PIC). He holds a B.Sc. degree in Chemical Engineering from Washington State University-USA 1990. In PIC, Abdullah Al-Swailem held several positions in the management team and led many projects. He became the Operation Manager since January 2004 until he was seconded to the Equipolymers joint venture of Dow PIC in July 2007.

He has been honoured to chair many Committees such as PSM, Hazop, Plant Turnarounds, Energy Optimization, Managers and Plant problem committees. He also was a Board member for Equipolymers BV since November 2004 until he joined the business as Manufacturing Director.
